1971 International 1210 Series 4 X 4 Ex Fire Department- 14,965 Original miles - Please see below description!Very possibly the finest example of this type of vehicle in existance, 2007 and 2008 Show multiple 1st Place awards prove it!Just completed a two and one half (2 1/2) year $40K + restoration performed by The Scout Connection in Iowa. This truck is a multiple award winner including Best Paint, Best Restored, Best in Class, Best Engine (2007 & 2008) etc and was shown by invitation at the Navistar International show held last year outside of Chicago to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of International Harvester's building of trucks. This vehicle was one of only two vehicles shown in the "Survivor's" tent! Only the absolute best vehicles available are shown under this classification.NEW Includes: Paint, seat was recovered with OEM material, interior door panels, carpet, A/C, Power Steering, Power Brakes, AM/FM radio, spray in bed liner, Jr. West Coast mirrors, Cab Marker Lights, Pertronix electronic ignition system, Deluxe exterior trim, etc was installed. Dash is original, representative of the excellent original condition prior to the listed additions/changes. Equipped with a 4 speed manual transmission this baby could climb a tree if it maintained traction and fuel in the carb. The like new Clutch was installed prior to the restoration and only has about 3000 miles on it. The 304 cu. in. engine was completely resealed and painted!Ceramic Coated Headers and Flowmaster dual exhaust were added. Radiator and all hoses replaced. Vehicle frame was repainted and entire vehicle under coated with rust proofing, (including the inside of the doors)again and the bed removed for added attention to detail during restoration. 98% original steel,(1) an Emergency radio antenna mount hole in the roof was filled with steel, (2) A small pinhole on drivers side rear cab corner was repaired with a steel patch. The original Emergency Lightbar on the roof was attached using a rain gutter mount system. NO Spotlight holes were cut in the pillars so no type of repairs were required. NP-205 transfer case, Dana 44 front axle with WARN manual locking hubs and 4.10 gears, Dana 60 rear with 4.10 gears. Paint matched period correct STEEL toolbox with spray in bedliner to prevent rust and rattles. Also equipped with a new tinted slider rear window option. The Special order sized Wheels (as original order by Fire Department) were blasted and repainted in Fire Dept. paint scheme (Black and silver), used as a Brush Mini Pumper unit.Tires have approximately 3000 total miles on them from new. Includes new spare wheel and tire, never on the ground. NO EXPENSE was spared in this restoration. Receipts total in excess of $40K spent. The photos speak for this condition of this vehicle which HAS NOT been driven since restoration, vehicle was transported to shows in an enclosed trailer.Photos that validate the exceptional overall condition of the vehicle prior to restoration are available to serious interested parties. These will show the addition of the above listed items such as carpet, door panels, new seat cover (OEM material), cab marker lights, radio, etc not previously ordered by the previous Fire Deprtment owner. I built this truck the way I wanted it to be. YOU'LL NEVER FIND ANOTHER ONE LIKE THIS as per THE SCOUT CONNECTION, which has been restoring IH vehicles for more than 25 years! They've never restored another original low mileage vehicle quite like this with these options! They sponsor and attend many IH vehicle shows per year and have a great knowledge of the current collector demand trend for these vehicles. The value of these ultra low mileage vehicles in this condition are increasing daily, Original low mileage International vehicles values have increased upwards of 77% in the past 3 years and are becoming THE next collectable, try to find one with this type of original low mileage and duplicate it to these standards for this price! Replacement value of this vehicle has been quoted as being in the $60K range due to it's rarity and EXCELLENT overall condition and if you viewed the vehicle you would agree on the quality. If you're a serious collector then you need this in your collection, NO ONE OWNS ONE LIKE IT! Most IH Mini pumpers(1969-1975) were equipped with either 3 speed Borg Warner or 727 Torqueflite (Chrysler) automatic transmissions, this vehicle is one of the exceptions being equipped with a 4 speed manual transmission as ordered instead. Spare parts are easily obtained at reasonable prices from numerous US based suppliers. This vehicle is currently located in Iowa and will be transported to Texas in December '08 if not sold or traded. I urge serious buyers to take advantage of it's current location, this may save additional transportation fees from Iowa to your area as compared to shipping from Texas. This vehicle is Barrett-Jackson quality and if not sold soon will be entered and sold thru the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale, Arizona Auction at Westworld in January 2009.It is truly the best low mileage example known to exist! UPDATE: 22 Sept '08 - I've received many inquires concerning this vehicle, please READ the description details carefully to gain an idea of just how GREAT and RARE this vehicle is, this being said, only REASONABLE offers will be considered! Please don't expect to get this vehicle for peanuts, if you don't have or can't get the money, please look at other seller's vehicles instead! The asking price is representative of the QUALITY and RARITY of the vehicle, try to find one like this for the asking price. Thanks! |

LEARN TO RECOGNIZE GOOD DEALS FROM BAD:
Unfortunately, there are people out there who use classified ads to try and scam legitimate buyers and sellers.
To avoid becoming a victim of fraud, use a healthy dose of skepticism and your own good judgment when dealing with
strangers over the internet.
• Be wary if an item is priced notably below market value.
• Be prudent with international transactions. A good number of buyer/seller fraud attempts originate from overseas.
• Confirm contact information. Legitimate buyers/sellers will provide valid information, including phone numbers.
• Scammers usually convey a sense of urgency - don't be rushed into a decision.
